End User

What is an End User?

An end user is a person who uses a product or service. Pay attention though that in information technology, ”end users” are not customers. For example, the employees of a company that purchased a digital product (e.g. software) to be internally used, represent the end user of that service. =

In an eCommerce context, the end user is the final consumer of a product or service purchased from an online shop and the person who basically benefits from that product.

Why are End Users important?

End users share feedback and valuable information that businesses may use to better understand their customers and develop products and services that are more in line with their requirements.

Because they can recommend future consumers through word-of-mouth, end users can likewise present worthwhile marketing opportunities. End consumers are ultimately the cornerstone of a successful business because without them the company would not survive.
