Hyperlink

What is a Hyperlink?

A hyperlink can be either a sequence of text or an image on a website that redirects the user after clicking on it. Hyperlinks can be both internal and external, redirecting users to a different page, to an entirely different website, or taking them to a certain section on the same page.

A hyperlink is usually underlined or displayed in blue, or in any other design chosen by the website’s developers.

Why are hyperlinks important?

Hyperlinks can help users navigate easier on a page rich in content, such as a guide, a product catalog, or a comprehensive article. They can improve the website’s SEO, and they can also be used in marketing communications, such as emails, push notifications, and SMS messages, to bring traffic to a website and move the customers further down the sales funnel.
