TagWhat is a Tag?
How do tags work?
The process of using tags in email marketing is quite simple. A tag is simply a word or a short phrase that you attach to a specific subscriber or a group of subscribers in order to indicate one of their characteristics.
When creating and using tags, it’s important to be as specific and concise as possible. Make sure that each tag accurately describes the group of subscribers you are tagging.
For example, if you are selling sporting goods, you might want to tag your subscribers who have purchased hiking gear as “hikers”. This will allow you to create and send out targeted emails to your subscribers who are interested in hiking.
Why are tags important?
By using tags, you can effectively segment your audience and send targeted, personalized emails to each group. This will improve your open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates, as your subscribers will be more likely to engage with content that is relevant and tailored to their interests.
Additionally, by using tags, you will be able to analyze the behavior of your subscribers, which will help you make data-driven decisions about your email campaigns. For example, if you notice that your “hikers” segment has a higher open rate than other segments, you can create and send more emails to this group, or offer special promotions to this group.
